Treading Water on the Border The meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping has left many wondering what exactly has been accomplished in their efforts to resolve the long standing border dispute.
Official rhetoric from both sides promises a "fair, reasonable, and mutually acceptable resolution," but it sounds suspiciously like more of the same.
This is not the first time these two leaders have met to discuss their differences. Xi's third visit to India since 2019 has been touted as a cautious thaw in relations between nuclear armed rivals.
