Spain Warned of Mass Ceuta Migrant Crisis Before Border Crisis Un

Border Blindspots and Bureaucratic Buckpassing Declassified documents reveal that Spain's National Intelligence Center warned of an impending mass crossing into Ceuta from Morocco on July 29, just before the crisis unfolded.

A WhatsApp alert sent to the Spanish government's delegation in the city described social media calls for an "assault" on the border fence and sea entry as early as 8 pm that day.

The CNI had also warned Moroccan intelligence agencies DGST and DGED about plans for migrants to climb or swim around the border fence on July 30, possibly exploiting Throne Day celebrations.
